I have been ordering food in New York City for 15 years. With a pretty high success rate. We love Seamless, we use it all the time. That being said, I have never had an experience quite like the one we had with our Rabbits order this afternoon. We placed an order for 2 sandwiches and 2 soups at 12:00PM. The seamless quote was 30-45 minutes. So when 60 minutes had passed, I figured I was within my rights as a customer, to call and see if the order was at least on the way. Usually, a restaurant will appease you by saying it's on the way, even when it's not. At least you get the sense they haven't forgotten you. Well, when I called Rabbits, the manager answered and said they hadn't started making my food yet. Points for honesty. But we ordered an hour ago, and she had no information for me on when we could actually expect our food. Naturally, I was irritated. Then things got interesting...She passed the phone to a VERY angry man who turned out to be the chef. He told me he "would LOVE to get my order out but that by being on the phone with me, I was holding up the process" I told him that at already an hour wait, that was certainly not my intention. I only called to gauge when I could expect my delivery. He then literally yelled into the phone, like Seinfled the soup Nazi, "THAT'S IT! NO FOOD FOR YOU! You order is cancelled!" And hung up. my reaction: uh....what just happened? I relayed this transaction to my equally-starving husband. After taking a well-deserved moment to be upset, we laughed hysterically at the ridiculousness of Rabbit's customer service, and figured out what else to do for lunch. Horrible experience aside, Rabbits food is good, the delivery guys are SUPER nice, but the sandwiches always arrive soggy, and obviously you risk being yelled at and having your order cancelled by an angry chef/owner.
Best advice: If you are craving the jerk sandwich, GO TO THE RESTAURANT - Don't get it delivered

Buttermilk pancakes were delivered hot and were so delicious! I didn't like the tuna melt so much since it was on whole wheat but it was still pretty good. Will try other items on the menu.

food is great. exceptional by far. but its like they don't understand that there is a rush at lunch and they shouldnt quote "30-45 minutes" for delivery. Its been 1 hour and I just called and heard it will be another 20-25 minutes. The reason was that they got about 4 orders all at once and theres only 2 of them working. Sounds like Rabbits problem and not mine. She wasn't even nice or apologetic and they don't throw in anything extra for making you wait. Its got to be the last time I order delivery from there. Just go pick it up or order somewhere else.

The food is pretty good, but not worth the price. $15 for a wonton salad with a couple pieces of chicken is crazy. The tuna melt is tasty, but it's $10.

Fresh salads and sandwiches. YUM!

Order was already over the time frame they said I'd have food by. When I called the order wasn't even leaving for 10 min. The woman who answered the phone had an attitude as well. Canceled the order.

The Hot Turk. Holy goodness. I can't wait to have it again. Only reason why I did not give 5 stars is that they take a while but other than that, awesomeness.

If I could I would rate it 0, delivered lemonade drenched food after 1 hour and fifteen minutes and then after refunding because I complained they came to take the food back to add to inconvenience.

The delivery boy was incredibly rude. He yelled at me on my voicemail for not answering my phone even though I was working and the manager made no apology for him getting my address wrong. If you want their food you better go get it yourself. Definitely not worth it

Had to work on Labor day and decided to try this place. Food was good, fresh and well packaged. Delivery was friendly and in the agreed time frame.

Great comfort food and fast delivery. One of my go-to's in SoHo.

The order was receive at 8:09 and it arrived literally 16 minutes later at 8:25. AND the delivery guy was one of the nicest guys I've literally ever met in New York. AND the food is great! I'm kind of in shock that this is possible.
Definitely becoming one of my regulars.

TERRIBLE FOOD AND RUDEST GENERAL MANAGER EVER
absolutely do not order from this dump.
ordered cesar salad with grilled chicken. they added the hot chicken to the bed of lettuce and packed it in a plastic container, consequently received sautéed lettuce .leaves cooked, mushy ie NOT edible. when called to address problem was scolded on the phone. gm refused to acknowledge that they were in the wrong. cited that he has been in business for three years and has never had a problem. hung up on me twice. real charmer.
don't give this place your money. they don't deserve to be in business.
if gm reads this - check out your menu options. by "mixed in" it refers to dressing. all other restaurants i order from pack hot "toppings" on the side when lettuce is involved no matter if dressing is requested "mixed in" or "on the side." this is done to avoid steaming fresh salad greens = COMMON SENSE (clearly something you do not possess)

My boss and I order from here once a week and it's always amazing. What is the deal with these other reviewers? I have had almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed. My favorites include the Jerk, The Cobb Salad, the Hot Turk, the Chicken Parm, and let's not forget about the burger.
This is what happens when fresh ingredients get paired up well. Disregard other reviewers and acquire delicious lunch.
Bonus if you go in to eat, it's a skateboard themed spot. Hella down.

ive had the ground beef burger, the BLT and a breakfast sandwich...all were very good. Service was good too. Fries are a bit on the salty side. But other than that nice little spot.

absolutely the worst sandwich i've had in years. this is my first time ever writing a review of any sort online. and i've been ordering food in the city for over 10 years. i couldn't let this go. i had to write about how truly terrible my sandwich was. i ordered the "vietnamese" bahn mi, and what i got almost made me puke. loads of cooked carrots? wtf? cooked carrots on a bahn mi? fat chunks of what seemed like cooked cucumbers. the flavor and pork seemed like it was from luby's cafeteria in alabama. just trash, the whole experience made me angry. and hungry. since i could only muster two bites of this atrocity. worst sandwich EVER.

the fennel in the fennel salad wasnt fresh and i had to toss it. the jerk sandwich was just an odd flavor combination of stuff

There isn't a better breakfast sandwich than The Bedford. Period. End of story. And the jerk chicken is the bomb too. And the Mexican corn. And the aloof attitude of the owner. This place is perfect.

If I could give this NO stars I would. Quite possibly the worst food I have ever eaten. Where on earth do you get off offering a Ban Mi sandwhich that bears no resemblance to this otherwise very tasty Vietnamese style sandwhich. You did'nt even try!!
Sliced carrots? - Soggy with no crunch. Flavourless Pork and pathetic cucumber slices wrapped in soft soggy roll. Ho Chi Minh is turning in his grave! Absolute abomination of an effort.
My office orders large orders through Seamelss and you guys just earned yourself 1st place on the "never again" list.

I will never order from here again. Every time I attempt to order from here I receive a phone call shortly after only to be notified that they don't have something I ordered. This is not the sole reason for my rating. After reconciling the order I received an angry phone call from the delivery guy upset that the delivery information wasn't accurate enough. I called the cafe only to be blamed by the "manager" for failing to fill out the information properly, which is odd considering I've had no trouble with any of the other dozen restaurants I order from through Seamless. The manager claimed to have called me four times and became extremely defensive when I disagreed and eventually hung up on me. This place is inefficient at doing simple tasks ( Ex. delivering food, having food to deliver, having competent people to deliver said food) and simply not worth the energy.

Food has no flavor, I'm too simple, and was overcooked!! Burger, burned and tasteless. Mac n' Cheese, no flavor at all tasted like plain noodles! Fruit salad has no fruit...Waste of money and I would walk out without paying if we went to the restaurant.

The chicken on the salad was tough, ropey, and had an odd smell. It seemed like maybe it had been frozen and microwaved.

Great place, delivery was prompt. The Mexican Corn, the turkey cobb salad are excellent.

The food is amazing, but the delivery is routinely slow. Usually, it takes an hour, an hour 1/2 to get my food. The cafe is five blocks from my office.

Ordered for dinner with expected 30-45 min wait time. 1.5 hrs later, I call to see what's going on. They said they haven't even started the order!!!
Long story short: never going to order from here again.
I would leave 0 stars if possible

We placed an order. Got a call 75 minutes later informing us that they haven't started the order yet... after we called them a couple times to get an update. Unacceptable. We ended up canceling the order and getting food around the corner.

I'm annoyingly particular and raised in a home of foodies and from Rabbits Cafe I will say I received an exceptional meal. I ordered the salad with the salmon. The salmon was of the highest quality and cooked to "Perfection" The FRESH spinach and FRESH fruit combined with the mouthwatering Asian vinaigrette rendered this dish outstanding one of if not the best meal I've ordered online and the price is right. I have to mention that I was not nearly as fond of the burger in my second order but the scrumptious slightly charred corn, with a true fresh corn taste I ordered as a side more raised the bar. Excellent food, I hope it stays that way.
